A Momentous Day

My Mallory of the curly hair was very pleased to discover the first of her transition presents. M Alor was quite competent in her representation of her parental units.

T Lar also had an unexpected present for my Mallory when he returned home from his employment at the medical facility. He had received a promotion.

He then confirmed his scholarships and made final preparations to leave for college later that evening.

On that very day, M Alor was also promoted from her employment as campaign worker.

She proceeded to check on the final status of her scholarships as well. Both children will be leaving after the transition ceremony for their respective dorm rooms at the university.

A Momentous Day (cont.)

When my Mallory of eternal beauty returned home from her employment that evening we proceeded to enjoy the transition ceremony and confection.

My Mallory of the silky white hair does not appear to enthused with her transformation. B Sahl, however appears to approve.

The confection had barely been devoured when the two rented yellow conveyances made their presence known. M Alor was leaving for University.

And so was T Lar.

I was immediately beset by doubts and fears the likes of which I had never known. Even my becoming stranded on an unfamiliar planet had not left me with such feelings.

Although I have read M Alor's comments to my journal I still found myself concerned over what I might have forgotten to taught them over their formative years.

My Mallory of great compassion comforted me with the reminder we had taught them to love, which ultimately was even of greater importance than all else.

She also reminded me that they were still in the region and would frequently be in contact. For monetary assistance and laundry facilities if nothing else.

A happy day

As a family, we invited the Gordon Raha, leader of a local privately funded educational facility, to visit for dinner. M Alor greeted him at the front walk and attempted to converse with him on topics dear to her heart.
That did not go well.
My Mallory of the dulcet tones introduced herself to the educational leader and requested more information on the facility. With the opportunity to expound on the advantages of a private education, Headmaster Raha was quite pleased with the family. M Alor and T Lar were accepted into the institution.

Headmaster Raha had no sooner left or home when we begun the transition ceremony for B Sahl.

Unlike the former ceremony, my Mallory of the curly hair and the duals were quite excited with the thought of the youngest A'Lien attaining childhood.

Which she did quite well. M Alor enjoyed seeing her sister in similar attire to what she had worn at that age. However we had other clothing choices available as well.

B Sahl chose not to partake in the transition confection. Instead she adjourned to the bedroom for a clothing change then to the bathroom where my Mallory of the beautiful hair performed a hair session and removed the wavy locks.

Obviously, B Sahl insisted on an immediate shower to remove the small hairs that had fallen down her new dress.

Life Could be a Dream

The night before B Sahl's first day of school and the Dual's first day at their new school and each of us are coping with our excitement in our normal manner.
my comments: Later that same night...

B Sahl appears to be happy with her new appearance.

Mallory appears to be quite taken with the new grocery delivery boy.

T Lar still hasn't overcome his dislike for the aliens.

As for Mallory and T Sah, they appear to be living their dreams. Or is it that as parents of twin teens and a young child, they are too exhausted to dream?

We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled...

Hello? Is this thing on?
*giggles*
Yeah, I guess it is. Hi there.
I've been reading Dad's journal for a while now and so I'm taking over his stylus and console. There are a few things I think need to be added to his journal that he wouldn't think to tell you.

First, my Father is a wonderful dad. I know that he thinks he shorted us "duals" as we were growing up, but we don't think so.

Sure, he was working long and weird hours, but when he was here he was really here. With us and for us.

I mean, I have some friends whose dads spend all their time at home plopped in front of the TV or some such. They basically forget they even have kids. But not my dad.

When we were growing up he was there to help us with our homework or learning a new skill or what not. Plus, there were lots of family meals together. Sometimes they had to be breakfast instead of supper, but he was there. That's just the way he is.

So Dad, if you're reading this - that's the way TL and I both feel. We both love you very much. You did a great job with us, so stop worrying, ok? And stop beating yourself up too. Now!

Yikes! Don't know where that came from, guess it's been building up for a while now. But since Dad thinks of you readers as his friends, I guess it's ok that you know the truth.

Anyways, back to the good stuff.

Dad always portrays us the way he likes to see us. But can you imagine two teens with their noses stuck in books or faces glued to a chess board all the time? Booooooring!!

Sure, defeating another's strategy in chess is fun. And so is discovering a new technique for repairing a lamp or a new recipe. But please! We really do have lives. And although TL and I do have a rivalry going on with scholarships, we're also best friends.

And since I'm being honest here and adding stuff Dad might not know, TL always calls me Mal. I rather like it. Although a friend of mine, River, pointed out to me that Mal is Bad.

Well, duh!!! Like I didn't know that was TL's little joke on me? But that's ok, because he doesn't know that TL doesn't stand for his initials.

Oh yeah, speaking of friends, I snapped this photo during breakfast recently.

As you already know, I was hesitant (and scared) when I heard that Dad was going to have a baby. Hello? Father? Pregnant? This isn't normal, right?

But I have to admit that the little twerp really won us over. She's just so blasted nice all the time. I mean really, really nice. Must be the "other" alien genes, because the niceness attribute sure skipped over the rest of us.

Speaking of the brat, isn't she adorable? Here she is playing red hands with Pater again. She'll probably even let him win.

Oh yeah, I just have to say, that TL and I love listening to Dad talk. Between the duals, parental units, and his other almost-correct speech patterns, he always seems to have us laughing.

You'd think that in the time he's been on this planet he'd catch on to the language. But then again, maybe he has. Maybe that's his little joke on us. I know he's seen us bite back our smiles at times.

Well, either way, he makes my heart melt every time he refers to Mom as "my Mallory." Yeah, that's what I want. I want a man who will love me as much as my Daddy loves Mom.

Ye gods and little fishes! I didn't realize how long I'd kept you. I'll let you go back to whatever you will be doing when this journal is finally released.

Eek! What a scary thought. By the time you read this I may have been gone for generations! Wow. That really puts things in a different light.

One last thing before you go, I just wanted to let you all know that I have no problem at all with not being Daddy's heir. I've heard about some of the restrictions TL will have on his life - where he lives, who he can marry, what he can do. No thanks! I don't want any part of that.

Plus, whatever is buried in the box at the corner of the house, that's way too much responsibility for my liking. TL, his kids and their kids can have it all.

TTFN!

In closing

My Mallory will soon be experiencing her own transition ceremony and I have discovered that M Alor is creating an extra-special gift for her Mater.
She is a quite the adequate "twerp" herself.

My Mallory of the glorious body has started B Sahl on a rigorous exercises program. Either they have a different idea of "mother daughter" activities or B Sahl has had some difficulty at school. As neither she nor my Mallory will confirm my suspicions I am at a loss of what actions I should undertake.

The duals have enjoyed the the transfer to the private educational facility. M Alor, of course, was happy that she could continue with her hair enhancements and that there was purple in the dress clothes.

I shall close this journal posting with an image portrayal of my family.

Time Marches On

My first thought was to prepare Mallory for the new addition to our family. Once she had aired her concerns, together we informed the duals.
I do not believe they understood at first the gravity of the situation. They believed that perhaps their Mater would be having the child.

Then I saw the look of amazement settle on their faces and knew that they, at last, understood.

In spite of the upcoming event, our lives remained unchanged. My Mallory of the infinite patience continued to set an admirable example to our children.

Although M Alor did have a meeting with a counselor at the educational facility due to some images in her artistic instructional sessions, she quickly adapted as well. Perhaps her quest for knowledge overruled her desire for an "ordinary" homelife.

There was a physical change with me as well.

I was able to convince the medical facility where I was employed that I had been the unfortunate victim of a gastric "bug." They placed me on an extended leave of absence rather than accept the possibility that something else had occurred.

A Third Child

Then the day arrived I had dreaded. I was suddenly grasped in the throws of pains never meant to be experienced by man. The duals were at their educational facility and my Mallory of the high pain threshold was at work.
Alone.
I was alone.

And then I was not. Alone I welcomed my youngest progeny into the world.

My Mallory of great understanding and I had conversed numerous times regarding the moniker a female offspring should carry.

A male child would carry the beginning of my name then a portion of a maters name as well. Since a female child would have no true mater unit it was decided that she would bear the combined names of my parents. B for my mater unit and Sahl for my mater's mater.

B Sahl seemed pleased with her name.

Soon after returning to work I was awarded the position for which I had studied and sought since my first day on The Land. I am now Chief of Staff for the medical facility.

controller's note: This was his LTW so T Sah is now Perma Plat

Another Infant Transition

I was very pleased to be available for B Sahl's transition confection celebration. My Mallory of the golden hair allowed me the opportunity to aid our daughter in her transition.

B Sahl appears to have her sisters predilection for vibrant colors.

The duals and my Mallory of the golden hair were excited as well at the transition of the youngest A'Lien.

To share in the enjoyment of the festivities M Alor and T Lar immediately began a contest of red hands.

A Day in the Life

I am exceedingly aware of all that I missed with the childhood of M Alor and T Lar. Now that I am no longer required to work such hectic hours I have time to do the very things I missed out on with the duals.
I was unaware of how enjoyable it is to share the simple pleasure of reading to a child.

I have been enjoying my time with the family to such a degree that I was surprised to discover it was time for my own transition. The thought of retirement is always on my mind yet I wish to remain employed until T Lar graduates from the new university.

I continue to make myself available for any special training required. In addition, I have endeavored to capture as many images as possible for my journals.

Each image portrayal also serves to remind me of the images I did not capture before.

Perhaps I will be able to atone by being a better grandfather than father.

Lest you believe I have become maudlin in my ever-increasing years, I would like to end this session with some positive news.

Changes

My Mallory of the wavy hair is still able to overcome my senses. I frequently find myself succumbing to the urge to wrap her in my arms and hold her to me.

As their reactions show, their parental units in a passionate embrace is not an unusual occurrence.

As I age, I find myself contemplating what might have been. How my life would have been had I not landed on this planet. The ripples of time, ever expanding, ever encompassing.

I have been extremely fortunate in my accidents as well as in my plans.

If you remember my original domicile, you can see that there has been many upgrades to our home.

Yes, I wrote that correctly.

Due to my Mallory and the three children what was once merely a domicile is now a home.
